He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Brenda Burt (Randy) and Kerry Bennett (Jessica); his grandchildren, Tyler Burt, Allison Blais (Paul), Eric Burt (Katlyn) and Elizabeth Bennett; and his great grandchildren, Luke Burt and William Blais. He is also survived by many siblings-in-law, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Reeman Christian Reformed Church, or to the Fremont Area Community Foundation for STEM Education Fund.
