With sadness, we share the passing of Ruth Lucas of Fremont, Michigan. Ruth, born on June 16, 1940, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Dunning and Jennie Dunning (Wolters); her husband William "Bill" Lucas; and her brothers, Edward Dunning (Karen), Bill Hodge (Mary) and John Wells (Paul Dunning).
She is survived by: her children, Pam Kunnen (Dale), Michael Lucas (Alona) and Melissa Lucas (Mike Rolefson); her grandchildren, Erin Kolar (Paul), Kelsey Gardner (David), Allison Lucas (Andrew Harder), Katelynn Lucas (Shane Cook), Garret Lucas and Mykola Netupskyi; her great grandchild Ophelia Ruth Lucas-Cook; her sister Jan Pell (Jim); and her sisters-in-law, Vicky Dunning and Ruth Lucas. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery (804 S Division Ave, Fremont, MI 49412).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Love INC of Newaygo County.
