He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kay Smith; his children, Bill "Bucky" Coats, Jr. and Ginger Johnson; his grandchildren, Hunter Coats (Lyndsay Larkin), Austin, Alex, Bryonna Coats, Nicole Dorman (John) and Willie Gould; his great grandchildren, Raquel Kauranen and Calista Coats; his extended family, Cyndi, Deven, Christian Bennett, Paulette, Trisha, Manuel, Kyla and Kennedy Lawson; his stepchildren, Ronda Tuthill, Rachelle Osborn (Chuck) and Art Balzer (Michelle); Zach Balzer, Brandi Waller (Logan), Shelby Tuthill, Johanna Smith (Camden), Olivette Balzer (Ethan Fillmore), Nova, Ozzlo Waller and Brody Fillmore.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
