He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Stalter and Daisy Stalter (Miller); and his brothers, Gaylen Stalter, Del Stalter and Randy Stalter.

He is survived by: his wife Harriet Stalter; his children, Pam O'Niel (Brian) of Jackson, Rodney Stalter (Patty) of Owendale, Paula Tucker (Bob), Russell Stalter (Ayasha) of Bay City, Elizabeth Gardner (Ron) of Averill Park and Rachel Coryell (Rob) of Bad Axe, Michigan; and his brother Gary Stalter of Cowpen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Memorials may be made to Michigan Avenue Mennonite Church.
