Duane Ackerman Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on December 22, 2019, at the age of 78, Duane Ackerman (Gagetown, Michigan), born in Unionville, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ealy Ackerman and Ella Ackerman (Engelhard); and his brother Norbert Ackerman. He is survived by: his former wife Annabelle Rowbotham; his wife Ann; his children, Gayle Ortner (Kevin) of Bay City, Christene Swartzendruber (Dan) of Essexville, Caroline Robison (Brody) of Grayling, Marjorie Ackerman of Fargo and James Ackerman of Ormond Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Hilary Rau (Courtney), Devin Ortner (Alexis), Kaleb Ortner (Mackenzie Eurich), Jason, Jessica Swartzendruber, Austin, Skyler Robison and Rachel Ackerman (Riley Fischer); his siblings, Norleen Ackerman of Taylorsville, Utah and Harold Ackerman of Sterling Heights; and his sister-in-law Joanna Ackerman of Rochester Hills. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
