He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Marsh and Eulalia A. Marsh (Hendrickson); his wife Dorothy M. Homoki; and his son-in-law Ted Whitaker. He is survived by: his daughters, Lynda VanderVeen (Cary), Ellyn Whitaker and Kathy Moerman (Terry); and his grandchildren, Aaron VanderVeen (Laura), Shawna Clauser (Matt), Nathan VanderVen (Jen), Ashleigh Beckum (Nathan), Collin Moerman (Ashley), Julia Wells (Dan) and Randi Moerman. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

Donations in John's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
