He was predeceased by: his sister Janet Bennett (Gary); and his parents, David A. O'Rear and Marian O'Rear. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, Dawn Strzalka (Jim) and Lynn Palko (Michael); his grandchildren, Sarah Robine, Jessica Conroy (Jared), Joshua Strzalka, Charlie and Lillian Palko; and his siblings, Barbara Worden (Jim) and Allen O'Rear (Cathy).
