He was predeceased by : his father Clifford Dale Black. He is survived by : his mother Jeanette Elaine Black (Dobat); his sisters, Elizabeth Black-Mench (Louis) and Susan Roundy; his nephews, Jesse Mench (Alice), Joseph Mench, Daniel Mench and Nolan Roundy; and his great-nephews, Mason and Liam Mench.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ralph Holewinski VFW Post 1518 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
