She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Benware and Beulah Benware (Sweet); her husband Lawrence R. McDonald; and her brothers, David and Gary Benware.

She is survived by: her children, Lawrence McDonald (Denise), Tina Rinkel (Craig), Todd McDonald (Laurie) and Richard McDonald (Tina); her grandchildren, Dustin McDonald (Stephanie), Mellisa McDonald (Adam), Bryan Kent (Tiffany), Aaron Kent, James Wheeler, Alex Nichols (Claire), Nick Nichols (Amy), LeAnne Lesosky (Andrew), Brandi Slivinski and Tiffany Young (Ian); and her brothers, Harold and Jerald Benware. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grandvue Medical Care Facility, 1728 S. Peninsula Road, East Jordan, MI 49727.
