Abeel of Gaylord, Michigan, born in Sandusky, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 15, 2024 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Downs Abeel and Ruby Pearl Abeel (Hawkins); and his sister Gwyn Sontag. He is survived by: his wife Judy Abeel; his daughters, Angela Ely (Rick), Cheril Lin Abeel, Leslie Abeel (Delano) and Kim Coelho; his grandchildren, Kourtney Keilen (Ryan) and Michael Kowalsky; his great grandchildren, Klaire, Brady Keilen and Gianna Kowalsky; and his brother-in-law Terry Sontag.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Mary Cathedral School.
