He was predeceased by : his father Henry Axford. He is survived by : his mother Bea Axford; his wife Diann; his children, Nick Axford (Katie) and Chelsea Reynhout (Eric); his grandchildren, Maggie and Luke Reynhout; his siblings, Jennifer Otmanowski (Ken), Bill Axford (Shari) and Amy Kelso (Paul); and his aunts, Bonnie Oswalt (Axford) and Shirley Hoffman. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Charlton Township Hall (10775 Rowan Ave, Johannesburg, MI 49751).
