He was predeceased by: his parents, Merwyn "Chum" Avery and Lillian Avery (Geigler); his brother Kalvin; and his nephew Doug Simcek. He is survived by: his children, Travis, Jeremy (Amanda) and Lanette; his brothers, Keith (Sandy) and Kent Avery (Sally); and his sister-in-law Karen Avery.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Nelsons Cremation & Funeral Services (135 N Center Ave, Gaylord, MI 49734). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Nelsons Funeral Home (135 N Center Ave, Gaylord, MI 49734).
