He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Knopf and Donna Knopf (Mumah); his brothers, Lyn and Gordon; his sister-in-law Lyddie; and his nieces, Stacy Knopf and Jennifer Knopf Maginnis.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Wise; his children, Britt Knopf, Trisha Goddard (Mike Mead) and Nikki Knopf-Wheaton (Tim Wheaton); his grandchildren, Gregory Knopf, Rachel Wheaton, Zakery Goddard and Brooklin Churches (Dustin); his great grandchildren, Bradley Wheaton, Jaxon Campbell, Nyla, Oakle, Grantle and Banks Churches; and his siblings, Jon, Dennis (Deb), Frederick (Mary), Timothy Knopf (Debi) and Sally Knopf DePew. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
