He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Homer Hawkins and Mamie Vay Workman; and his siblings, Ruth Douglas, Margaret Miller (Bill), Phyllis Jean Hawkins, Carol Jordan, Linda Blanco, Bob Hawkins, Herbert Hawkins and Bill Hawkins.
He is survived by: his son Roy Hawkins Jr.; his daughter-in-law Theresa Hawkins; his grandsons, James Hawkins and Jacob Hawkins; and his sister Joyce Malles-Huff. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
