She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lewandowski and Margaret Lewandowski (Stryzynski); her husband Vance; her children, Walter Basinski and Judy Bright; her foster son Todd; and her son-in-law William Clark.
She is survived by: her daughters, MaryAnn Lesatz (Joe), Jean Snook, Margaret Clark and Jan; and her children-in-law, Wanda Basinski and Ernie Bright. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the North Life Church (115 E Main St, Gaylord, MI 49735). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
If anyone wishes, memorial contributions may be made to a cause that Sophie held dear to her heart.
