He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Smith and Wilma Jean Smith (Evans); and his sister Debbie Holberton. He is survived by: his daughters, Brianne Genow (Spencer) and Katie Smith (Grant); his grandchildren, Noah Blades, Cash Hanson, Parker Genow and Cooper Genow; his great grandchild Elias Blades-Williams; his brothers, Doug Smith and Jim Smith; and his nieces and nephews, April Holberton, Henry Holberton, Cody Smith, Samantha Quick and Blake Smith.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sorenson-Lockwood Funeral Home (1108 W North Down River Rd, Grayling, MI 49738). A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
