He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Need (Mollie) and Thomas Percy Need; his in-laws, Charles and Minnie Mary Helwig; his son Charles Michael Need; his brother William (June); and his in-laws, Elizabeth, Dorothy Cleary (Eugene), Beatrice Lindeman (Raymond), Germaine Kuptz (Raymond), Charlotte Calcaterra (Mario), Robert Helwig (Nita), Muriel J Helwig, Jacqueline Smith (Edward) and Maureen Morgan (John).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Emily; his children, Thomas Jr. (Mary) and Patricia Ann (Bradley); his grandchildren, Andrew Need (Gabrielle) and Jordan Need; and his brother Robert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
