With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Matthew Burton of Germfask, Michigan, born in Manistique, Michigan, who passed away on November 6, 2021 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Matthew Burton to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, George Telford "Tuffy" and Elizabeth "Jane" Burton (Smith); and his siblings, Herbert "Herb" Burton, Norman "Bud" Burton, Charles "Charlie" Burton, William "Bill" Burton, Harry Burton and Theresia McGahan.

He is survived by : his wife Dawn Burton of Germfask; his children, James "Jamie" Zellar (Michelle) of Newberry, MI, Marla Zellar-Zatloukal (Brian), Chelsea Burton of Traverse City, MI and Lauren Burton of Newberry, MI; his sister Tina Cheeseman of McMillan; and his grandchildren, Taylor Kirkpatrick, Ryan Zellar, Bailey Zellar, Chase Zatloukal, Hilde Zatloukal, Faith, Zeke, Levi, Ezra, Serenity, Selah and Zebediah.

Memorial contributions can be made in Jim's name to the Germfask Christian Fellowship Church, State Hwy 77, Germfask, MI 49836.
