We announce the death of Carla Jean Gieryk of Gladstone, Michigan, who passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 71. Carla will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Closs and Minerva Closs (LaDuke); her husband Michael Gieryk; her son Michael Gieryk Jr.; and her grandson Cody Belanger.
She is survived by: her children, Tammi Belanger (Bill) and James Gieryk; her grandchildren, Devon Gieryk, Brianna LeBoeuf (Allen), Kyle Belanger, Taylor, Tylir and Tylen Gieryk; and her great grandchildren, Alex, Carly and Onyx. She is also survived by one brother, three sisters and nieces and nephews.
