Jerry will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Jerry by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Jerry is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Jerry’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivan Witz and Joyce Witz (Kunick). He is survived by: his wife Sally A. Hoffer; his son Jeffery Witz (Ellen) of Almont, MI; his granddaughter Camryn Witz of Almont; and his brothers, Dean Witz (Linda) of Skanee, MI and Thomas Witz of Marquette, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home (2200 Ludington St, Escanaba, MI 49829).
