He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn "Pee Wee" Hawley and Rita Hawley Laakso (Dennis); his stepfather Ferd Laakso; and his brothers, William "Bill", Tommy (Kitty) and Frank Hawley.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hawley of Gladstone; his daughters, Vicky Kirby (Jay) of Wells and Julie Hawley of Rapid River; his grandchildren, Janelle Negri and Justin Kirby (Leah); his great grandchildren, Mason Joseph, Andrew Scott, Mathew Donald Negri, Hayes Lyle and Lane Joseph Kirby; his siblings, Bobby Hawley (Donette) of Shelby Township, Duane Laakso (Gina) of Limestone, Suzie Dittmer (Ron) of Vancouver, WA and Ann Atherton (Rusty) of Gladstone; his sister-in-law Lynn Hawley; his aunt Christine Hawley of Menominee Falls, WI; his friend Wayne Salo; and his close friend Jerry Melchiori. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; very good friend.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bowerman Funeral Home (302 E Superior St, Munising, MI 49862).
