He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Johnston and Marvel Johnston (Farley); his wife Laura Jessick; and his daughter Deborah Jackson. He is survived by: his daughters, Patty Switaj (Larry) of Oxford and Lynn Demers (Paul) of Port St; his son-in-law Joe Jackson of Manistique, Michigan; his grandsons, Christopher Jackson (Jodie) and Matthew Switaj (Hayley Anderson); and his great grandchildren, Lukas, Eben, Noble Switaj and Adele Jackson.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (310 Oak St, Manistique, MI 49854). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Fairview Cemetery.
