She was predeceased by: her parents, John E. Gustafson and Anna Gustafson (Kositzke); her spouse Rune Ostlund; her former husband Ray Carlson; her siblings, Robert Gustafson and Lorraine Terlinden; her brother-in-law Holger Ostlund; and her granddaughter Rachel Ostlund.
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Gasperich (Bill) of Gladstone, MI., Kristine Clements (Bernie) of Gladstone, MI. and Mark Ostlund (Lana) of Gladstone, MI.; her grandchildren, Britt-Ann Blawat (Jeff) of New Berlin, WI., Arlo Abrahamson (Lolita), London England, Leif Abrahamson (Jacqui) of Surprise, AZ. and Tyler Ostlund of Escanaba, MI.; her stepgrandchildren, Ron Clements, Ben Clements (Bailey) and Danielle Agarwal (Shivum); her great grandchildren, Aseah Abrahamson (Britt-Ann) and Deven Mannan Luka Abrahamson (Leif); her stepgreat-grandchildren, R. J., David, Brock, Ava, Yogi, Aria and Ishaan; her great great grandchild Emmaline; her sister Barbara Anderson (Roger) of Mendota, IL; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Luhman of Surprise, AZ. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in memory of Ruth Ostlund-Carlson.
