Bonnie Jean Rossen, age 83, of Gladwin, passed away peacefully at her residence on July 21, 2026. She was born on April 9, 1933, in Monroe, Michigan, to the late Frank and Mary (Fountian) Barber.
Bonnie lived a life marked by love, creativity, and thoughtfulness. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched the lives of many. Those who knew her will remember her warm spirit, her gentle heart, and the way she made others feel welcome and cared for. She was the kind of person who gave of herself freely and found joy in the simple moments that made life meaningful.
Bonnie was united in marriage to Frank Rossen on April 9, 1993, in Standish. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2020. Their years together were filled with companionship and shared memories that remained dear to her throughout her life. She also endured the loss of her son, James Ricker, granddaughter Ashley, and her siblings, Bob Barber, Frank Barber, and Michelle Barber, all of whom preceded her in death.
Family was the center of Bonnie's world. She is survived by her children, Bryan (Linda) Ricker, Jeff (Shelly) Ricker, and Angel Ricker. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren. Bonnie embraced her role in the family with great joy, and she was affectionately known as grandma to everyone. Her love extended beyond titles and generations, and she made each person feel special in her own caring way.
Bonnie worked as a caregiver and housekeeper, roles that reflected her natural compassion and strong work ethic. She had a heart for helping others and took pride in being dependable and kind. Her life of service was a true reflection of who she was, and her presence brought comfort to those around her. She was someone others could count on, and she carried herself with quiet strength and grace.
In her free time, Bonnie enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo, working on crafts, and fishing.
