He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Wright and Ruth Wright (Butler); his wife Elaine Fowler; his son Larry Wright; his granddaughter Molly Marie McGranahan; his sisters, Delores Storms (Frank) and Ruthy Leslie; and his sister-in-law Diane Wright.

He is survived by: his daughters, Claudia'Dee Dee'Hughes and Julie Spillers (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Meggie McGranahan (Aaron), Ashley Cromwell (Tony), Jamie Spillers and Forest Spillers; his great grandchildren, Jordan Cromwell, Ryan Cromwell, Dylan Cromwell, Jackson Spillers and Austin Wascher; his siblings, Ola "Junior" Wright, Carol Knack (Norm) and Rosemary Manchester; his uncle Myron Leslie; and his friend Gary Hughes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
