James A. Solosky Obituary

James A. Solosky Gladwin, Michigan James Alden Solosky, known to family and friends as Jim, passed away on April 21, 2026, in Gladwin, Michigan, at the age of 64. He was born on March 23, 1962, in White Plains, New York, to Myra (Lower) Moore, & the late Ethan Solosky.

Jim earned a finance degree from the University of South Florida, he worked as an Interior Designer. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen (Mora), whom he married December 12, 2025, his son, Gaven Heldenbrand, both of whom held a special place in his heart. He also leaves behind his siblings, Lenore (Brian) Crawford, Jody Watters, Donia (Don) Franklin, along with his nephews David (Heather) Crawford, James Crawford, and niece Megan (Pat) Brzezinski. Jim valued family connections deeply, and he was grateful for the love, laughter, and support that surrounded him throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kim Solosky, stepmother, Carol Haas, and his stepfather, William Moore. Their memory remained part of the family story that shaped Jim's life, and he carried those bonds with respect and remembrance.

Friendship that lasted generations and across continents. A wealth of knowledge and recall that was truly impressive.

Per Jim's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. His final resting place will be home.
