He is survived by: his pet Hannah; his son Steven Tkachuk of Kalamazoo; his sister Julie Bird (Roger) of Belleville; his nieces, Carey Blair (Doug) of Romulus and Kate Boehmer (Mike) of Manchester; and his nephew Ryan Bird (Vanessa) of Romulus.
