He was predeceased by: his father Thomas M. Haney Sr.; his stepfather Gerald'Whitey" Weaver; his brothers, Robert and Dwayne Haney; and his grandson Thomas Haney IV.
He is survived by: his mother June Haney Sr. (Crain); his children, Thomas "Tommy" Haney III, Kelly Gray (Brock) and Jeffrey Haney (Alexis); his grandchildren, Carson Haney, Faith Gray, Logan Gray and Brady Gray; and his brother Randy Haney (Carol). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Secord Baptist Church.
