She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Hiney and Martha Hiney (Rodgers); her husband Melvin H. Lawson; and her daughter Kim Youngman. She is survived by: her children, Karen Morris (Larry) of Gobles, Melvin Lawson (Kelly) of Missouri and Donald Lawson (Cathy) of Georgia; and her grandchildren, Patie Flannigan, Peggy Coverdale, Shane Morris (Amanda), Steven Morris, Chester Youngman (Angie), Ruthie Wanstead (Jeff), Shawn Ryan (Bill) and Josh Lawson (Heather). She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren; 36 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the St. Jude's Cancer fund, or American Heart Association.
