He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his parents, Harry Root and Amy Root; his brother Milon (Norma); his in-laws, Tom, Pat Taylor, Audrey Evans and Floyd Evans; Nicholas and Cora Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Root (Mark) and Ronald Root (Susan); his granddaughters, Jessica Coleman (Ryan), Jocelyn Bunce (Paul) and Claire Root-Benson (Derek); his great grandchildren, Alexandra, Matthew, Rory and Cora; and his in-laws, David Evans, Jim Evans, Mary Ann Evans and Linda Evans. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice and/or Merson Church.
