He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Garrett Sr. Walter Jr. and Reta Garrett; his siblings, Raymond, Veva and Janet; and his grandson Trystin.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, David Garrett (Tammy) of Greenville, SC, Julie Hotchkiss (Gary) of Allegan, MI, Tangaline Greer (Jessie) of Gobles, MI and Franklen Garrett (Rachel) of Norfolk, VA; and his grandchildren, Monica, Beth, Rita, Keith, Andrea, Tiffany, Derek, Megan, Ryan, Danielle, Kasie, Trevor, Serenity and Kaiden. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, he requested donations be made to Pine Grove Township Hall, 26520 County Road 388 Gobles, MI 49055, to be used for adding recreation equipment to the Kendall City Park and a City welcome sign.
