Darlene J. Sutphen Obituary
We announce the death of Darlene J. Sutphen of Goodells, Michigan, who passed away on October 28, 2026, at the age of 62. Darlene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton and Mary VanTiem Sr.; her siblings, William VanTiem, Robert VanTiem and Janet Allen; and her sisters-in-law, Sandra VanTiem and Cindy VanTiem.
She is survived by: her husband Richard; her daughters, Felicia Oom (Jason) and Jenna Sutphen; her grandchildren, Alaina, Derek and Lucas; her siblings, Biff VanTiem (Kathy), Jessie Shurbett, Maryann Fowler (Doug) and Scott VanTiem; and her siblings-in-law, Leeann Hintz (John), Colleen Reid (Pat) and Jason Sutphen (Michele). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jowett Funeral Home (1634 Lapeer Ave, Port Huron, MI 48060). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post 525 (7150 Smiths Creek Rd, Kimball, MI 48074).
