He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Gibson and Irene Gibson (Swallows); his wife Anna Tappy; and his sister Mary Daig. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Canter (Robert), Patrick Beck (Amy Smallidge), Sherrie Gibson and Lee Ann Holland (Scott); his grandsons, Timothy (Lisa), Brad (Kelly) and Joshua (Hortense); his great grandchildren, Olivia, Lizzy and Emily; and his sisters, Esther Booth (David), Hilda Warnock, Peggy Gibson and Carol Sue Peterson (Devereaux). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, his favorite charity.
