He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Sprietzer and Margaret Sprietzer (Campbell); his wife Joyce A. Harman; and his brothers, Michael and Kendall Sprietzer.

He is survived by: his children, Lawrence Sprietzer (Iryna) of Conroe, TX, Laura Brooks (Steven) of Goodrich and Lynn Stocker (Michael) of New Baltimore; his grandchildren, Brandon Brooks, Lawrence Sprietzer (Marlena), Nicolas Brooks (Melissa), Jessica Stocker and Kaitlyn Stocker; his great grandchildren, Shaylie, Evan, Aiden and Addison; and his sisters, Patricia Sprietzer of Marquette and Charlotte Rebitske (Ron) of Ann Arbor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
