Cheryl Lynn Smith Obituary
We announce the death of Cheryl Lynn Smith of Grand Blanc, Michigan, who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 72. Cheryl will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Cheryl will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Cheryl will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Cheryl’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, W. Bryce Sr. McGinnis and Esther McGinnis (Wallace); her husband Nicholas Smith; and her brother W. Bryce McGinnis Jr.. She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Jo Klock (Cecil) and Darrell McGinnis (Alma). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the Allen Funeral Home (9136 Davison Rd, Davison, MI 48423). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 28th 2026 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Genesee, Flint Institute of Music or a charity of your choice, in honor of Cheryl.
