He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Shonts and Margaret Shonts (Cornell); and his sister Dolores Bortle. He is survived by: his wife Mona Goldsmith of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Martin, Scott (Arlene), Gregory Shonts, Debbie Rice, Cynthia (Kevin Travis) and Eric; his grandchildren, Joshua, Christopher, Sandra, Evan, Parker, Christian, Sophia and Morgan; his great grandchildren, Athena and Mason; and his siblings, Thomas Shonts and Susan June. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
