He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Metz and Grace Metz (Heynik); his daughter-in-law Jane Metz; and his siblings, Norbert Metz and Carol Bute.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Schapel; and his children, Thomas, Robert (Kit) and Patricia (David Krupa). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (11804 S Saginaw St, Grand Blanc, MI 48439). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
