He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Engstrom and Mary Engstrom (Johnson); his brother Lawrence Engstrom; and his daughter-in-law Terri Engstrom. He is survived by: his wife Jane M. Alford; his children, David Engstrom of Lewiston, Craig Engstrom of Grand Blanc and Jill Kondel (Casey) of Grand Blanc; his grandchildren, David Engstrom, Jr. (Jessica), Nicholas Engstrom (Chelsea), Peyton Engstrom, Hunter Engstrom, Taylor Kondel, Sadie Kondel and Sloan Kondel; and his siblings, Roger Engstrom, Richard Engstrom and Dianne Verros (Peter).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church (7234 Fenton Rd, Grand Blanc, MI 48439). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
