He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Hardin Hackler and Geneva Dockery Hackler; his sister Judy Carbury; and his brothers-in-law, Lonnie Deel, Glenn Edgerton and Robert Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Rhea Edgerton Hackler; his daughter Geneva Simons (Michael); his grandchildren, Trent, Ellie and Rose Simons; his siblings, Donna Bell, James Hackler (Nancy), Philip Hackler (Sharon), Nancy Ingram (Ray) and Kathy Sevilla (Faisal); his in-laws, David Edgerton (Kimberly), Clint Edgerton (Helen) and Inez "Lee" Edgerton; and his brother-in-law Ken Carbury.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Hill Funeral Home (11723 S Saginaw St, Grand Blanc, MI 48439). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
