He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Riek and Bernice Riek; his brother Terrence Riek; and his nephew Geoffrey Riek. He is survived by: his wife Mickie Riek; his daughter Erin O'Connor; his son-in-law Ryan O'Connor; his grandchildren, Katie O'Connor and Cameron; his son Matthew Riek; his daughter-in-law Bess Riek; his grandchildren, Alex Riek, Molly and Charlie; his son Nathan Riek; his daughter-in-law Kathleen Riek; his grandchildren, Ramona Riek and Max; his sister-in-law Pam Riek; his brother James Riek; his sister-in-law Barb Riek; and his niece Jennifer Riek.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the track and cross country programs of Grand Blanc High School.
