She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald William Daly and Bernice Catherine Daly (Clinton); her former husband Le Roy M. Winans Jr.; her siblings, William G. Daly, Joan E. (Daly), Martin and John C. Daly; and her niece Carol L. (Daly).
She is survived by: her husband Frank Jerome Helms; her daughters, Dawn M. Winans (Richard A. Kouzoujian) and Erin R. Reen (Peter); her grandson Matthew A. Reen; her sister-in-law Virginia Alberini; and her nieces, Debbie Formeller, Jeri Gibbons, Fran Hoye and Diana Ellsworth.
The family asks that any memorial contributions be made to one of Kathy's favorite charities, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Whaley Children's Center or Carriage Town Ministries in Flint, MI.
