He is survived by: his wife Donna Smigelski (Spangler); his children, Julie Smith and Micheal Laursen; and his siblings, Paul Smigelski, Marcia Reiser (Smigelski) and Monique Shorr. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
