He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ward Payne and Mary Bell Sutherland; and his siblings, Donald, Gordon, Lester, Billy, Chuck and Marilyn Henderson.
He is survived by: his wife Priscilla Russell; his children, Kimberly Pennala-Jones (Bill) and Kurt Payne (Lisa); his grandchildren, Nicholas Jones (Lauren), Joseph Jones (Cassie), Anthony Jones, Tiffany Whiting Payne (Steve) and Stewart Payne; his great grandchildren, Ripley, Rhyatt, Joseph, Sara, Raiden, Brooke and Reagan; and his brother Dale Payne.
