He was predeceased by : his grandmother Hattie May Burton (Ooga Booga); his aunt Brenda Lee Hawkins; his grandfather Russell Burton; his brother Jay Cook; and his grandparents, Bob Bell, Carl and Patricia Dewey.

He is survived by : his parents, Mark Dewey and Tina Dewey; his wife Michelle Dewey; his son Evan Hunter Dewey; his stepchildren, Tristan, Hunter Jackson and Kaylee Jackson; his sister Jessi May; and his nephew Jayden Lewis.
