He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hetherington and Mary Hetherington (Armstrong); his siblings, Marilyn Bastian, Leona Shelton and Art Hetherington; and his stepdaughter Sandy Setchfield.

He is survived by: his wife Arlene Hetherington; his children, Debra Palmer (Rob) and Ronald Hetherington (Dawn); his stepchildren, Karen Ng (Peter), Vicki Lauhoff (Frank), Jacqueline Dennis (Bruce), William Miron (Gina) and Robert Miron (Pam); and his siblings, Betty Browne of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Irene Lennon of Centennial, CO, Don Hetherington of Gladwin, MI and Pat Hetherington of Thousand Oaks, CA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and good friends.
