He was predeceased by: his parents, James Welsh and Mabel Welsh; his wife Beverly Welsh; his children, Virginia Kochenderfer and Jerry Welsh; and his siblings, Rosemary Newsom and Howard Welsh.
He is survived by: his children, James Welsh, Shirley Szabo, Gary Welsh (Robin), Sharon Kolodynski (Mike), Susan Welsh (Jim Beaubien) and Kathi Schollar (Chris); his grandchildren, Brian Welsh, Tami Welsh, Melissa, Kristi Kochenderfer, James Welsh II, Courtney Wolff (Boyd), Danielle Szabreath (Carson), Denae LeBeau (Kyle), Andrew Welsh, Violet, Jourdan, Jasmine Miller, Katie, Sydney Beaubien, Riley and Blake McQueary; and his brother Don Welch. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
