She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Placek and Mary Placek (Juracek); and her husband Rod. She is survived by: her sons, Trenton Townsend (Alexa Wheeler) and Jesse Townsend (Jen); her grandchildren, Katya Townsend, Camille Townsend, Sebastian Townsend, Cole Townsend, Maia Townsend, Layton Townsend, Owen Townsend, Sara Wheeler and Sky Townsend; and her cousins, Shelley Crotty, Scott Switzer, Steve Switzer and Carolyn Switzer.
