It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Brode of Grand Blanc, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on June 13, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Bowen and Doris Bowen (Bailey); her son Scotty; her siblings, Lois Whitman and Jerry Long; and her nephew Todd Whitman.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Brode; her daughter Lisa Essett; her brother Ted Bowen (Sherry Bowen); her niece Amanda Bettancourt; her nephew Christopher Vance; her cousins, Theresa, Bob Bowen, Sharon Greenman, Lorena Leiber, Debra Bristol and Linda Cassiday; her close friend Roxy Clark; and her friend Karen Tucker.
