She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Smeja and Lydia Smeja; her husband Raymond Sturk; her daughter-in-law Phyllis Covey; and her siblings, Alfred Smeja and Joann Loynes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rene Sturk and Pat Hopps; her pets, Nikki and Abby; and her sisters, Irene Hovanec and Theresa Spurrier. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
