He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Brabbs and Inez Brabbs; his former wife Linda Brabbs (Pangborn); his brother John; his sister-in-law Laura Brabbs; his siblings, Donald Brabbs and Janet Elder; and his in-laws, Robert and Hazel Morgan.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Brabbs (Morgan); his children, Jerry Brabbs (Angela) of Richardson, Rick Brabbs (Lisa) of Kennesaw and Cathy Bixby (Robert) of Flint; and his grandchildren, Julie Cummings (Skip), Stephanie Brabbs of Texas, Amy Bolam (Mark), Erica Dearduff (Tyler) of Michigan, Kylie, Makenna Brabbs of Georgia and Logan Brabbs of Washington. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
